Campizales beach in Cudillero, Asturias, Spain - panoramic view from above

Los Negros or Campizales beach, Cudillero, Asturias

This beach has 2 names, both still in use: it’s called Los Negros but also Campizales beach. It’s a rather extended beach so it’s impossible to miss, the only problem being actually stepping on it.

Eastern side of Campizales or Los Negros beach in Cudillero, Asturias, SpainYou can get to see Campizales beach from above from the village of Albuerne – you can get to the village by car and should continue to drive North – the problem is that the road is in pretty bad shape and my advice is to walk to the beach.

You do not have much to walk and the view is incredibly beautiful and totally worth it.

Also this path will take you to the neighboring beach of Vallina (actually its Western side, called El Carreiro) which is something that might interest you since from this Western side of Vallina you can walk on the rocks (with low tide, of course) till the beach that interests you: Campizales.

And that’s how you solve the problem of the missing or unsafe descent!

If you feel lost among so many names and stories, just download our beach app AsturPlaya and it will take you to any beach in Asturias you might wish. Is that simple!

Another way to get to Campizales is from West, from the neighboring beach of Albuerne because the rocks between them are just like the ones between Campizales and Vallina – but Albuerne does not have a safe descent either 馃檨

I saw no trail going down to the Albuerne beach either and all the colorful fishing boats were “parked” at El Carreiro which makes me think that this is the starting and the ending point of the fishermen journey.

Campizales is a rather extended beach, maybe around 500 meters long. It’s mostly made of gravel with very little sand and almost almost disappears with high tide.

This gravel-sand area gets extended with low tide with a huge surface of rocks that are a perfect spot for fishing and finding seafood. It is also a dangerous place if you practice underwater fishing when the weather is not very good, beware!

Los Negros is a secluded beach with no amenities and no parking (so definitely no lifeguard or other fancy services), just like most of the beaches of the municipality of Cudillero.

It has its charm and I like it just the way it is. Secret.
