Located north of the El Murallón beach in Tapia de Casariego, you can reach La Furada by walking down Francisco González Villamil street, a street that links all the beaches located in the heart of this town. Let me remind you some details about these beaches.
So it happens we have the beautiful town of Tapia de Casariego in Asturias and here we have some urban beaches inside a cove + 1 outside the city. Inside we have this shell that seems 1 beach with low tide but high tide creates here 4 different beaches – from West to East these are: Anguilero beach (the biggest), then El Murallón beach, then La Furada beach and the last one is La Ribeiría beach.
Outside Tapia you will find another beautiful one called Represas beach.
A lot of beaches, I know, it’s our “curse” here in Asturias, not knowing which one to choose every day in the summer… #hardLife
As you probbaly know you can get here by car or by foot, La Furada being an urban beach with everything you might need. It doesn’t have a lot of amenities but benefits greatly from the ones of its bigger sister Anguileiro. Also shares its lifeguard service and the parking.
La Furada a sandy beach with hidden rocks, quite small and almost invisible with high tide. It’s surrounded by bars, restaurants, hotels and shops plus a beautiful park with a promenade that will allow you to easily discover its neighbors.
The Tapia shell which hosts these beaches is a very good fishing and surfing spot. Its beaches are perfect for the entire family and I strongly recommend you see this place if you happen to be nearby.
