Troenzo is the one of the popular beaches belonging to the beautiful village of Celorio. If you are familiar with the municipality of Llanes then you probably know that a lot of the most popular beaches of this municipality actually concentrate in Celorio and they are too many to add them all here.
Troenzo is the first beach towards West that belongs to this village while Portiellu (de San Martín) beach is the last one.
Getting here is very easy since Troenzo can be considered almost an urban beach. By car you can arrive here either from the village of Barro or from Celorio and park really close to the beach.
However, during high season and especially during weekends I suggest you to avoid driving here because there is simply no space to park your car.
By foot you can reach Troenzo by taking the coastal trail E-9 – it links all the beaches in Asturias (so Llanes too) but it can be split into smaller segments.
From East you can start from Poo beach cause the trail will take you to some secluded beaches that are of great beauty.
Once here you will discover a 120 meters long beach of sand and rocks (recent storms have stolen the sand away so Troenzo might not look as in the pictures inserted here) that almost disappears with high tide.
Low tide will uncover a huge sandy surface, Troenzo almost joining its Eastern neighbor called Tayada beach.
More technicalities about Troenzo beach
Troenzo is a beach without amenities and without lifeguard, not even during weekends. It is very popular among locals and tourists so you will probably see it crowded if you visit it in high season. Spring and autumn are better if you want to have the beaches of Asturias for yourself 🙂
Around Troenzo you will find anything you might need. There are lots of campings and rural houses to provide you with accommodation, there are bars and restaurants galore and it’s so close to Celorio that you probably won’t miss anything.
If you’re into fishing you should know that Troenzo is a good fishing spot and if you’re prone to getting lost then you should download our beach AsturPlaya – it will create a route for you and take you directly to the Troenzo beach.
